Ladybugs have long been tied to luck, protection and good news. Some people believe that if a ladybug lands on you, it carries a little blessing with it. Others associate them with loved ones, renewal or the arrival of better days ahead.
My daughter has always treated spotting a ladybug like a very important event, and honestly, I agree with her.
Ever since I began painting these small creatures, people have shared deeply personal stories with me about what they represent in their own lives. It’s fascinating how certain tiny creatures quietly gather meaning over time and become attached to memory, comfort and hope.
This original painting is part of my Small Guardians collection, inspired by the winged and wandering creatures children notice immediately and adults often rediscover when they need them most.
