An Original Ash Cascade Painting - Moth to a Flame
Moths have long symbolized transformation, intuition and the pull toward light during dark seasons. Many people see them as reminders of growth, resilience and becoming. Quiet creatures drawn forward by instinct, even when the path ahead isn’t fully visible.
Ever since I began painting these small creatures, people have shared deeply personal stories with me about what they represent in their own lives. It’s fascinating how certain tiny creatures quietly gather meaning over time and become attached to memory, comfort and hope.
This original painting is part of my Small Guardians collection, inspired by the winged and wandering creatures children notice immediately and adults often rediscover when they need them most.
Painted in layered acrylic on unstretched canvas, Moth to a Flame balances softness, texture and movement with a warm, collected feel. Framed in maple, the piece feels both nostalgic and grounded while still feeling fresh and modern.
